One of the dogs in the upcoming film ' A Dog's Purpose ' desperately resisted shooting a risky scene, but chilling footage shows filmmakers apparently forcing the animal into rushing water. In this glossy world, dogs require little maintenance. A Dogs Purpose offers an awkward blend of sugary sentiment and canine suffering that tugs at animal-loving audiences heartstrings with.

If A DogРІР‚в„ўs Purpose does indeed struggle at the box office this weekend, it will be a rare instance of failure for a genre that has historically proved lucrative in the movie business.
